Lara is the name of a long stretch of Antalya’s east coast, not of one beach. Along it, TÜRÇEV, which runs the Blue Flag programme in Türkiye, lists 5 public rock beaches below the city cliffs, 5 public sand beaches and 35 more beaches, most of them named after hotels.

Lara Beach in short

Choose the stretch first, then the beach.

  • Public sand: 5 public sand beaches, 10 km from the airport and 15 km from the city centre. Turaş says people enter its beaches free of charge.
  • City cliffs: 5 public rock platforms. Muratpaşa Municipality lists three of them with opening hours of 06:30 to 20:00.
  • Hotel beaches: TÜRÇEV names 35 more beaches on this coast. The shore law says the shore is open to everyone’s use.

Two Lara beaches side by side

Pick any two of the ten public beaches. The rows are the facts TÜRÇEV’s pages list for each beach. Where both list a fact and the two differ, the row is marked. The access rows are TÜRÇEV’s list of facilities for disabled visitors.

Facts as TÜRÇEV lists them, checked 20.10.2026.

TÜRÇEV’s Blue Flag season for all ten beaches runs from 15 May to 30 September, and it lists Blue Flag years up to 2025 for them. Each beach has its own page with these fields: TÜRÇEV beach list. Entry, opening hours, addresses and the lift are not in TÜRÇEV’s lists. Hours, addresses and the lift come from Muratpaşa Municipality’s beach page and its note of 4 May 2024. Free entry rests on Law 3621, art. 5–6 (below), on that note for the cliff beaches and on Turaş’s Lara page for its two beaches.

What “Lara” covers

Antalya’s provincial culture and tourism directorate lists Lara among the beaches east of the city, together with Karpuzkaldıran, Belek and Kundu. On TÜRÇEV’s list the Lara coast falls into three groups.

5 beaches

Rock platforms below the cliffs

Erenkuş, Erdal İnönü, İnciraltı, Mobil and Konserve Koyu lie at the foot of the Antalya cliffs. TÜRÇEV lists each with a rock shore and a wooden platform, and no sand. Muratpaşa Municipality gives three of them an address on Lara Caddesi.

RED&WHITE Beach, Lara Halk Plajı 2 (Antalya Metropolitan Municipality), Lara Halk Plajı 1 and 2 (the Turaş site) and Lazlo Beach are the sand beaches in this group. TÜRÇEV lists all five at 10 km from the airport and 15 km from the city centre.

In a note of 4 May 2024, Muratpaşa Municipality described İnciraltı as its only beach with a lift and said that entry to its five cliff beaches (Konserve, Mobil, İnciraltı, Erdal İnönü and Erenkuş) was free that year. Ask at the gate whether that still holds, and what umbrellas and loungers cost.

Access at the five cliff beaches

TÜRÇEV lists no ramp, no disabled WC, no lounger or umbrella for disabled visitors and no floating lounger at any of them. Muratpaşa’s note of 4 May 2024: open the note.

Who may use the shore

The Coastal Law (Law 3621) is short on this point. It says what the shore is open to and what may not be put up on it.

Coastal Law, Law 3621

The shore is open to everyone, equally and freely.

Article 5: The shores are under the authority of the State and are open to the equal and free use of everyone.

Article 6, first paragraph: The shore is open to the equal and free use of everyone. No building may be put up on it, and no wall, fence, railing, wire, ditch, post or similar barrier may be made on it.

Law 3621, consolidated text, mevzuat.gov.tr. Checked 20.10.2026.

The text speaks about the shore itself and names no beach. Article 6 goes on to say what a zoning plan may allow on the shore, such as piers and harbours, so it is the rule to read each beach against, not a verdict on any one of them.

Getting there from the airport and the centre

TÜRÇEV lists the sand beaches at 10 km from the airport and 15 km from the city centre, and the cliff beaches at 14 to 16 km from the airport and 5 to 7 km from the centre. It marks public transport as available at all ten.
