The cheapest Golf is the manual petrol Impression at ₺2,390,000. The Life DSG costs ₺2,994,000: ₺604,000 more buys the Life trim, the DSG automatic gearbox and the eTSI mild hybrid. Match the whole version name when you compare two offers.
The ID.4, ID.7 and Touareg are listed as 2025 model-year cars. Ask for the model year and the delivery date in writing.
Golf or SUV? start with your journeys
Start with the space you use every week. Volkswagen Türkiye sells the Golf, Golf GTI and Golf R; the T-Cross, Taigo, T-Roc, Tiguan, Tayron and Touareg; the Passat; and two electric cars, the ID.4 and ID.7. The Polo has left the range.
What matters most?
Choose a use case, then compare the exact version in the table.
Begin with Golf, Taigo or T-Cross
Sit in the driving seat, then park the car in a space like your own. Test the gearbox in stop-start traffic. Pay for a higher trim when its equipment solves a daily problem.
Try Tiguan and Tayron with your passengers
The Turkish Tiguan page lists 1.5 eTSI and 2.0 TDI 4MOTION. Tayron lists 1.5 eTSI and optional seven seats. Bring the child seats and the bags you really use, and try the third row before you choose the bigger car.
Consider the ID.4 or ID.7
Both are on sale in Turkey. First work out where you will charge, and what a home charger takes to install. Then ask for the battery, charging and warranty papers of the exact car.
The Passat is still in the range, next to the Tayron. This page covers passenger cars; the Caddy, Transporter and Amarok belong to the commercial range, with their own terms.
The Tayron decision: five seats or seven?
Seven seats are an option on the Tayron. Volkswagen Türkiye sells it as Life, Elegance and R-Line, all with the 1.5 eTSI engine. Pick a trim below and see what the third row costs: same engine, same year, only the seats change.

Same engine, same trim: the gap is the price of the third row.
The third row folds into the floor. At the showroom, try it upright and folded. Check where the pushchair goes, how a passenger climbs to the back, and that your quote names the seven-seat version (7 koltuk).
Choose the trim first, then the seats. If Life does what you need, the explorer shows what the seats cost there. If you want Elegance or R-Line, compare that trim’s own five- and seven-seat prices, so two extra seats never turn into an upgrade of the whole car.
One small letter, a different powertrain
eTSI is a petrol mild hybrid: you fill it at the pump and never plug it in. In Turkey the Tayron and the new T-Roc come with the 1.5 eTSI, the Tiguan with the 1.5 eTSI or the 2.0 TDI 4MOTION. The ID.4 and ID.7 are fully electric.
Which daily routine are you buying?
Fill with petrol
A 48V lithium-ion battery helps the engine when you pull away. It charges itself when you brake and from the petrol engine, so there is nothing to plug in at night.
Plan the charging stop
With an ID., charging is part of the purchase. Ask for the exact car’s battery and charging speed, then check where you can charge: at home, at work and on your usual routes.
The plug-in stays abroad
Volkswagen Türkiye does not sell the Tayron or Tiguan eHybrid plug-in. If a seller offers one, ask for its import papers and the market it was built for.
Why the bill grows: ÖTV, then KDV
Two things set the tax: the engine size (or an electric motor’s power) and the price before tax. ÖTV comes first. Then 20% KDV is charged on the car plus the ÖTV, so options that raise the price can raise the rate too.
At 100% ÖTV

VAT also lands on the ÖTV.
At this rate, ÖTV doubles the car’s pre-tax value. KDV then adds a fifth of that subtotal.
A smaller engine often pays the same rate. At ₺1,000,000 before tax, a 1.0-litre and a 1.5-litre petrol car both pay 80% ÖTV. At ₺1,700,000, the 1.0-litre pays 90%, the 1.5-litre 100% and an ordinary 2.0-litre 170%.

Plug-in hybrids get their own rates when their weighted CO₂ is under 25 g/km and their electric range is at least 70 km. Up to 1,600 cc they pay 45% up to a base of ₺1,350,000 and 75% above it; from 1,600 to 1,800 cc, 85% up to ₺1,350,000. These rates are for cars you charge from a socket, so the eTSI does not get them.
Law 7590, article 14, sets a minimum ÖTV of ₺100,000 per passenger car. Every Volkswagen above already pays more than that. Ask the dealer to show the net price, ÖTV and KDV as separate lines.
At the dealer, buy the quotation too
A good quote names the whole car and splits the money into lines. Ask for the engine, gearbox, trim, model year, seats and every extra. Then ask which price applies on delivery day. If a discount needs a loan or a trade-in, get its terms in writing.

Traffic insurance and the notary registration fee come on top, Doğuş Oto’s price list says, and options are priced separately. Ask for the total for your exact car, with the registration service as its own line.
Keep the paper trail
Make the offers comparable.
Keep the written quote, configuration and campaign terms together. If two dealers give different totals, compare each line before deciding one car is cheaper.

Warranty in four parts
Volkswagen Türkiye gives new passenger cars two years of mechanical cover, three years for paint and twelve years against corrosion, with no kilometre limit. Cover starts on delivery and needs the scheduled maintenance.

Garanti Plus stretches the cover to five years in all. Ask for its price and contract, what it covers and which service rules apply. It moves with the car when you sell it. Ask the service centre you will use for a written maintenance estimate too.
Three shortcuts that can cost you
“Any Tayron has seven seats.”
Seven seats are an option. Make sure the order says “7 koltuk”.
“The e in eTSI means plug-in.”
The eTSI is a 48V petrol mild hybrid. You never plug it in.
“A foreign passport removes the tax.”
Foreigners pay the same taxes. The tax-free route is Turing’s YTGGK temporary import, for eligible foreign workers, students and retirees, with documents and a guarantee.
