Sand in Lara. Pebbles at Konyaaltı. Ancient harbour bays at Phaselis. The right beach depends first on where you’re staying, then on the kind of shore you want.
Start with the shore
Sand
Lara, Ayışığı, Evrenseki and Kleopatra are the sandy choices here. Lara also has small pebbles; the whole coast is not one uniform strip.
Pebbles
Konyaaltı and Olympos have pebbly shores. Çıralı mixes fine pebbles at the water with sand behind; Adrasan is mixed too.
Ancient bays
Phaselis and Olympos include a ticketed archaeological visit. Keep that entrance fee separate from transport, food and beach equipment.

Konyaaltı
A long pebble shore with Antalya behind you and the mountains ahead. Pick this side of town for a beach day that can sit beside a promenade walk and a café stop, rather than a separate coastal road trip.

Lara
Lara is the useful city-coast alternative when sand matters more than a mountain-backed pebble promenade. The named Turaş Lara Halk Plajı has free person-entry; that does not include every private beach business along Lara or Kundu.

Mermerli
Mermerli pairs a swim with the Old Town and marina. It is a compact, managed cove, not a substitute for the long open shores of Lara or Konyaaltı. A restaurant address alone does not establish beach admission or included loungers.

Kemer / Ayışığı
Ayışığı is the specific sandy option in this guide’s Kemer area. Its approximately 300-metre shore is in Ayışığı Park; don’t assume every beach around Kemer has the same surface.

Phaselis
Here the day includes an archaeological site as well as the sea. There are three harbour bays; the south harbour is roughly a 10–15-minute walk through the ancient city. The site has WC, a café and a shop.

Çıralı
Çıralı offers a 3.5-kilometre beach, with fine pebbles near the water and sand behind. Its village approach is different from entering the Olympos archaeological site, even though the two places share the same stretch of coast.

Olympos
Choose Olympos when the archaeological visit is part of the plan. The named site entrance is in Yazır, Kumluca. Its ticket should not be described as a universal entrance charge for neighbouring Çıralı.

Adrasan
Adrasan is a Kumluca-area outing with a mixed sand-and-pebble shore. The bay is also a departure point for seasonal boat excursions, with pensions, apartments and restaurants nearby. Beach costs and boat tickets are separate.

Maden Koyu
Maden is the less straightforward access choice. Antalya’s municipality describes a forest-road approach and recommends a 4×4. That describes the terrain; it does not confirm today’s vehicle permission, a parking place or a serviced beach.

Evrenseki Halk Plajı
Evrenseki is in the Side/Manavgat resort area, rather than Antalya’s city coast. The municipal public beach has a sandy shoreline and a 2026 smoke-free designation. A holiday-period free-lounger announcement is not a year-round tariff.

Kleopatra
Kleopatra is on the western side of Alanya’s historic peninsula. The municipality describes free beach entry, with beach services charged separately. This is Alanya’s Kleopatra, not the similarly named cove near Tekirova.

Damlataş
Damlataş sits at the headland end of the Kleopatra coast, beside Damlataş Cave. It is a useful location if you are already exploring this part of Alanya. Cave admission is a different purchase from beach services.

Two smaller places to place on the map
Örnekköy is a Lara-area name, but a current named operator, entrance and tariff have not been established for this guide. Use a specific facility address rather than assuming the same services as Turaş Lara.
Korsan Koyu, near Karaöz, is a small cove described by Antalya’s municipality as about 90 metres long and 25 metres wide. Current legal vehicle access, parking and charges need checking before planning around it.

Olympos and Phaselis each publish €10 admission for non-Turkish visitors aged 8 and over. Calculate those site tickets here; transport, food, parking and loungers are not included.

The last part of the journey matters
For city buses, open Antalyakart’s journey planner, enter your starting point and the exact beach or facility, then choose Yol Tarifi. It shows the route and walking segments. A Lara address, a Kemer village stop and an archaeological entrance are not interchangeable destinations.
For Phaselis, the municipality describes public transport to the approach followed by roughly 30 minutes on foot. For Maden, the forest-road terrain is the main constraint. Map-search links in the profiles locate the name; only links labelled “Official map” come from a published operator or municipal map.
Match the hotel to the beach day
Stay in Konyaaltı for the western city shore, or choose a Lara address carefully: a city hotel, a clifftop property and the sandy resort coast offer different beach days.

An adults-only hotel in Arapsuyu, Konyaaltı. This is the western city-coast base; check the applicable age threshold and whether beach equipment is included in your rate.

Holiday Inn Antalya–Lara
The hotel describes a 15-minute walk to sandy Lara Beach and a separate Beach Area a 15-minute drive away. Those are two different access descriptions.

Lara Otel
Lara Otel lists Lara Caddesi No:142. Its cliffside setting is different from the flat sandy Lara/Kundu coast; check the actual route to the sea.
