Why Turkpidya exists
Introducing the Turks to the world
Turkpidya began in 2020 in Eskişehir, started by a student who had moved to Türkiye and found that clear, reliable information about the country was hard to find in most languages
The idea was simple: explain Türkiye properly, in the reader’s own language, from renting a flat, opening a bank account or seeing a doctor to where to travel, what things cost and the history behind it all
Today the encyclopedia holds 3,413 guides in 16 languages, free tools for everyday questions and an open data service anyone can build on
