Clothes from Turkey, to your door? Pick the route first. The parcel route map: which shop reaches you. Direct: Modanisa and Sefamerve for modest fashion, Markapia for many brands, Los Banditos for bohemian style. Country shops: Trendyol for Europe, the Gulf and Azerbaijan, Mavi’s EU, US and Canada shops, and LC Waikiki’s country shops. Vakko delivers inside Türkiye only. Forwarders: Yollando gives you a Turkish receiving address, and Ship7 forwards and combines parcels. At the border, checked on 21 October 2026. EU: €3 duty per item type on parcels up to €150, from 1 July 2026. UK: VAT is paid at checkout on clothes worth £135 or less. Vakko delivers inside Türkiye, so an overseas order needs a Turkish receiving address and a separate shipment. Choose the route first, then check how you would return the clothes.

EU imports: from 01.07.2026 to 01.07.2028, an online parcel worth up to €150 pays a flat €3 customs duty for each type of item (each tariff class, not each piece). This applies whether the shop collects EU VAT (value added tax) at checkout through the EU’s Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) or you pay the VAT at the door. It applies whatever the carrier. One exception: a parcel from Türkiye declared as customs-union goods with an A.TR movement certificate (the Turkish form that shows goods are in free circulation in the EU–Türkiye customs union) pays no €3 if the VAT was not collected through IOSS. You then pay the VAT at the door. A €2 handling fee for each type of item is expected from 01.11.2026. Ask the shop for the total you will pay. Using your own forwarder? The €3 and the €2 fee apply to distance sales, where the shop sends the goods or arranges the transport. The European Commission says a sale is not a distance sale when you arrange the transport without the shop’s help. Ask the forwarder how it declares your box and what you pay at the door.
EU parcel rules ↗Great Britain: for purchased clothes worth £135 or less, the seller collects VAT (value added tax) at checkout. Above that, the courier collects import VAT and any duty. Northern Ireland has separate rules.
UK parcel tax and duty ↗US: the $800 limit for duty-free parcels ended on 29.08.2025. Ask for a quote that includes duty. For Canada, check the import rules before ordering.
US customs guidance ↗Check your Gulf country's import rules. The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) publishes guidance for online shoppers in Saudi Arabia. For other countries, use your own customs authority.

Size: measure first
Use the product’s own size chart and compare it with a garment you already wear. Sefamerve describes its clothing sizes as EU sizes, such as 36, 38, 40. Jeans also use waist and leg-length markings. Match the unit, cut and measurements before you pick a size.
- WaistLay your jeans flat, fasten them and measure straight across the waistband. Double a flat width only when the chart asks for circumference.
- HipMeasure across the fullest seat of the jeans. Use the same measuring position as the product chart.
- InseamFollow the inside seam from the crotch to the hem on jeans that already fit your preferred length.
- RiseMeasure from the crotch seam up to the top of the waistband. This helps you compare low and high cuts.
- ChestLay a dress flat and measure across the chest under the armholes. Compare like-for-like garment or body measurements.
- LengthMeasure from the shoulder to the hem of your dress. Check where that length falls on you before ordering.
Read whether the chart describes your body or the finished garment. Leave room for the layers you will wear under a coat, and check stretch content on jeans. Returns from abroad
Choose a return you can actually send. Keep tags attached, try the clothes indoors and start the request in the shop’s account before posting anything.

The expensive size gamble
For an evening dress or designer outfit, calculate the cost of sending it back before ordering. For a forwarded order, arrange the return journey while the parcel is still in Türkiye. Save the item’s return rule before you pay.
Using a forwarder
A parcel forwarder gives you a receiving address in Türkiye and arranges a separate shipment abroad. Yollando and Ship7 describe this shopping route for private buyers. Ask for the full quote before you order: receiving, repacking, storage and international delivery can each affect your total.
- Get your Turkish addressRegister with the forwarder. Copy its warehouse address and your customer reference, then confirm your postcode and the clothes are accepted.
- Send the shop order thereAsk the shop to accept the receiving address and payment method. Use your reference so the warehouse can match the parcel to you.
- Arrange the second journeyCheck the parcel weight and dimensions, choose repacking or combining your parcels into one, and approve the overseas shipping quote and import charges.
A forwarded order returns through the route you arrange with the forwarder, if the shop accepts the item. Ask when the retailer’s return clock starts and whether the warehouse can inspect or return it before sending it abroad. Keep both tracking numbers so you can follow each leg of the journey.
Before the parcel leaves
Price the journey both ways.
Add the clothes, shop delivery, forwarder charges and the import quote in one currency. Then check what a return would cost. A smaller first order gives you a simpler way to learn the fit and the delivery route before buying an entire wardrobe.
Before you pay
Save the size chart, delivery quote and return terms with your order confirmation. Run through these checks while the basket is open. Contact the seller promptly if the item or size differs from your order.
