• In Van cats, newborn kittens’ eyes are grayish in color. 25 days after the birth of the kitten, the eye colors begin to change and after 40 days the eye colors become clear.
• Cats have a sense of cleansing than most species. They are very curious about the cleanliness of themselves and their surroundings. They have the instinct to cover the soil after the toilet. They wipe their mouths and their faces with the aid of their paws after feeding and bathing.
• They create voices in order to interact with each other and with human beings. Voices reveal their feelings. They’ve got some types of meowing. Some point to contact with adults, some refer to communication with their kittens. The sounds produced according to their needs are of different intensity and frequency.

At once, Van cats can give birth for 4 kittens. On the 10th day the kitten’s eyes are open. Mother licks her kittens to disinfect and soon after birth continues to suckle. When Mother believes the location to be unknown, she seeks a safe place and holds the twins.

Generally, behind the ears of Turkish van kittens, there are one or two black spots. The bulk of kittens with two black dots are single-eyed. And this black dot is taken as a single eye cat stamp.
