    Method

    Pure gold is weight × fineness. The price per gram of pure gold is the selling price ÷ pure gold, compared with the 24-carat bar’s. A coin’s premium is its price over the value of its pure gold at the 24-carat price. Daily candles use each day’s first, highest, lowest and last selling quote; days whose price per gram of pure gold falls outside 90–150% of the bar’s are left out as faulty quotes. The split of gram gold’s lira change uses ln(gold in lira) = ln(gold in dollars) + ln(dollar in lira). The margin by hour averages the buy–sell gap at each Türkiye hour over the last four months. The 18-carat quote carries no dealer margin, so it is left out of the value and margin comparisons.
