TEKNOFEST is the largest aviation and aerospace festival in Turkey and the second largest aviation festival in the world.

With funding from Turkey ‘s main institutions and businesses, the main goal for Teknofest is to turn Turkey into a technology-producing community.

What is Teknofest

TEKNOFEST means “Technology Festival” in Turkish, it presents young people with lots of opportunities to get know more about technology.

The Festival started in 2018 in Istanbul new airport and was held in Gaziantep on 2020.

In addition to interactive programs for children, the festival provides enjoyable events in science and technology for all ages, including simulation, squad sports and aviation related activites.

TEKNOFEST organize contests to help young people who focus on potential new technologies in several different fields to share their enthusiasm about technology.

A wide variety of companies and organizations attend the fair to show many of their products including missiles, aerial vehicles, and technologies.

The most important companies that attends the Teknofest usually are: Turkey ‘s military giants Aselsan, Turkish Aerospace Industries and Unmanned Aircraft (UAV) manufacturer Baykar, and diesel engine maker Erinmotor, and STM defense company.

Teknofest is a 4-day event and usually tens of thousands participate in it.

The event is held on odd years in Istanbul and in even years in other Turkish cites.

The event is supported by Ziraat bank, Halk Bank, Vakif bank and many other institutions.

In terms of international support Google and SAP are Take off sponsors for the event.

Who can join Teknofest

Basically any one can join Teknofest the competitions can include high school, graduate, undergraduate and master’s contestants.

Teknofest is free of charge, you can participate, watch and take photos without paying anything.
